Job Title: Automation Engineer Engineering Process Automation (EPA) Location: Hyderabad Role Summary: The Automation Engineer EPA focuses on streamlining drafting, modeling, and engineering workflows by developing custom automation scripts and plugins for CAD and BIM environments. This role bridges the gap between engineering processes and software platforms to improve productivity and minimize manual effort. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement automation solutions in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other drafting software. Develop custom scripts and plugins using AutoLISP, .NET (C#/VB), Python, or other relevant languages. Collaborate with engineers to identify repetitive tasks and create automation workflows. Maintain and improve existing automation scripts and library functions for drafting productivity. Integrate CAD workflows with external data sources such as Excel, databases, and APIs. Provide technical support, user documentation, and training for drafters and engineers. Ensure solutions follow best practices for version control, security, and maintainability. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Electrical / Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering or related field with a relevant experience of 1-5 years. Proficiency in AutoLISP, Python, and .NET for CAD automation. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PLSCAD and drafting workflows. Experience in process optimization and productivity improvement. Solar industry exposure is preferred. Understanding of engineering drawing standards and workflows. Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
