About the role
You are a highly skilled Hardware Engineer with 4-6 years of experience, possessing deep expertise in low-power electronics, RF design, and embedded hardware systems. Your main responsibility will be to design and develop low-power, battery-operated embedded hardware systems. Some of your key responsibilities include: - Leading RF and antenna design for wireless systems such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, and other RF protocols - Designing multi-layer PCBs with a focus on controlled impedance routing, RF layout best practices, signal integrity, and noise minimization - Creating and maintaining schematics, PCB layouts, and Bill of Materials (BOM) with cost and availability optimization - Rapidly prototyping hardware systems integrating various components like accelerometers, gyroscopes, microphones, cameras, NOR Flash, and additional sensors - Collaborating closely with firmware engineers to optimize power consumption, ensure reliable sensor interfacing, and improve wireless performance - Testing and validating hardware and firmware performance, including power profiling, RF performance, and signal integrity - Developing and maintaining mechanical test jigs and fixtures for device validation and repeatable testing - Coordinating with EMS partners for prototype builds, DFM feedback, and production scaling Required Skills & Qualifications: - Strong experience in low-power hardware design for battery-operated devices - Proven expertise in RF and antenna design, RF measurement tools, and 4+ layer PCB design tools - Deep understanding of controlled impedance, EMI/EMC considerations, and signal/power integrity - Experience in BOM management, schematic design, sensor integration, and hardware debugging - Ability to interpret and collaborate on firmware-hardware interfaces and familiarity with DFM/DFA best practices Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working on BLE/Wi-Fi-based embedded products and familiarity with Nordic Semiconductor platforms - Knowledge of power optimization techniques, firmware workflows, and mechanical design concepts - Exposure to camera interfaces, audio front-end design, compliance testing, IoT device design, and mass production scaling Soft Skills: - Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, detail-oriented with a focus on design robustness, and strong problem-solving mindset - Effective communication and documentation skills Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Work closely with firmware engineers to co-design power-efficient systems, ensure high-frequency data acquisition support, and align on RF performance tuning - Collaborate with Motion Algorithm Engineers to optimize algorithms for embedded deployment and jointly debug system-level issues Key Priority Requirements: - Expertise in low-power electronics and battery-powered devices - Expertise in Antenna/RF Design for BLE, WiFi, and other wireless systems - Expertise in PCB design for 4 layers or more - Expertise in rapid prototype development You are a highly skilled Hardware Engineer with 4-6 years of experience, possessing deep expertise in low-power electronics, RF design, and embedded hardware systems.
