Role Description The GCP Cloud Architect | Terraform role is a contract, on-site position based in Riyadh. The individual in this role will design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code practices. Daily responsibilities include assessing business and technical requirements, defining cloud architectures, and leading the deployment and optimization of cloud infrastructure. The role involves collaborating with development and operations teams, integrating cloud services with existing systems, and ensuring alignment with best practices for performance, security, and cost efficiency. The architect will also document solutions, provide technical guidance, and support continuous improvement of cloud standards and processes. Work Location: Initially based in India for the first two to three months of the project. Subsequently relocated to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the remaining project duration. Qualifications Strong Solution Architecture skills, including designing end-to-end GCP-based solutions that meet business, security, and compliance requirements. Hands-on Infrastructure experience with GCP services, Terraform (9+ years preferred), networking, security, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies. Background in Software Development, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and understand application deployment patterns. Expertise in Integration and Architecture, including integrating cloud solutions with on-premises systems and defining scalable reference architectures. Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect, Terraform or related DevOps certifications) are highly advantageous. Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools within cloud environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in on-site, cross-functional teams. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
