Senior Python Developer Mobile App Security (Contract | Remote)

We're looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer with strong expertise in Mobile App Attestation , backend security, and secure API development. This is a remote contract opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex security challenges and building production-grade backend services. Role Employment Type: Contract Location: Remote Joining: Immediate preferred Duration: Project-based with the possibility of extension Flexible engagement with expected availability based on project milestones and deliverables. Suitable for independent consultants and professionals who are contractually permitted to undertake external consulting work. Mandatory Skills 8+ years of hands-on Python development experience. Hands-on experience implementing Apple App Attest (App Attestation) . Experience validating App Attestation tokens on the backend. Strong understanding of API Security , authentication, and authorization. Experience developing secure REST APIs using FastAPI , Flask , or Django . Strong problem-solving skills with a security-first mindset. Preferred Skills Experience with JWT , OAuth 2.0 , mTLS , certificates, cryptography, and secure communication. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL . Experience with Git and modern software development workflows. Experience implementing Google Play Integrity API or Android App Attestation. Experience with AWS , Azure , or GCP . Knowledge of OWASP Mobile Security best practices. Experience securing mobile banking, payments, or FinTech applications. Experience with certificate pinning and mobile security architecture. Key Responsibilities Design and develop secure backend services for mobile applications. Implement and validate Apple App Attest (App Attestation) on the backend. Develop secure REST APIs and authentication mechanisms. Collaborate with mobile developers to integrate end-to-end security features. Troubleshoot and resolve backend security issues. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
