About the role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer with robust expertise in Mobile App Attestation , backend security, and secure API development. This is a remote contract opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex security challenges and building production-grade backend services. Role - Employment Type: Contract - Location: Remote - Joining: Immediate preferred - Duration: Project-based with the possibility of extension - Flexible engagement with expected availability based on project milestones and deliverables. - Suitable for independent consultants and professionals who are contractually permitted to undertake external consulting work. Mandatory Skills - 8+ years of hands-on Python development experience. - Hands-on experience implementing Apple App Attest (App Attestation) . - Experience validating App Attestation tokens on the backend. - Robust understanding of API Security , authentication, and authorization. - Experience developing secure REST APIs using FastAPI , Flask , or Django . - Strong problem-solving skills with a security-first mindset. Preferred Skills - Experience with JWT , OAuth 2.0 , mTLS , certificates, cryptography, and secure communication. - Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL . - Experience with Git and modern software development workflows. - Experience implementing Google Play Integrity API or Android App Attestation. - Experience with AWS , Azure , or GCP . - Knowledge of OWASP Mobile Security best practices. - Experience securing mobile banking, payments, or FinTech applications. - Experience with certificate pinning and mobile security architecture. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop secure backend services for mobile applications. - Implement and validate Apple App Attest (App Attestation) on the backend. - Develop secure REST APIs and authentication mechanisms. - Collaborate with mobile developers to integrate end-to-end security features. - Troubleshoot and resolve backend security issues. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to security architecture discussions.
