Role Overview: As an AEM Backend / Platform Developer, you will be responsible for owning the AEM Java platform layer, including translation pipelines, admin modal APIs, locale routing, and i18n key delivery for a headless e-commerce storefront. You will work closely with an AEM frontend developer on the same platform team to ensure accurate checkout/PDP UI copy across various locales. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain translation automation, including schedulers, workflows, Acolad/Phrase connectors, and job lifecycle (export TMS import). - Manage admin content models by creating JSON key dictionaries at /admin/payment, /admin/shopping-cart, /admin/projects, /admin/products, etc. - Execute high-volume i18n key additions and French/EU/CA-FR locale variants. - Fix locale routing & fallback (FR/FR, CA/FR, EU/EN) using Java servlets/filters, replication, and Dispatcher. - Develop Sling Servlets & Models for admin JSON export, model filters, and component BE wiring. - Configure OSGi runmodes (ui.config) for TMS credentials, cron, and feature flags. - Handle platform hygiene tasks such as Java upgrades, code coverage, Cloud Manager deploys, and AEM Cloud health. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in AEM / Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR, Sling Models/Servlets, Workflows, Maven, and Cloud Service. - Experience with i18n, multi-locale content trees, Translation Framework, and TMS integration. - Knowledge of headless Admin JSON models consumed by BFF/SPA, replication, and Dispatcher basics. - Mindset for platform engineering, high-volume content ops, and pipeline ownership. - At least 3 years of experience in AEM backend development and Java, with Enterprise localization experience.
