Database Engineer for Kolkata

Job Description: Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement reliable and scalable database solutions (e.g., relational, NoSQL). Create and maintain database objects such as tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, and triggers. Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management. Ensure data integrity, security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies are in place and functional. Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases into applications. Conduct troubleshooting and debugging of database issues and provide timely resolution. Implement data migration, transformation, and data warehousing solutions. Monitor and analyze system performance, and generate reports for usage metrics and optimization. Stay current with new database technologies and best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or in a similar role. Proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems such as MySQL. Strong knowledge of data modeling, normalization, and schema design. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) is a plus. Understanding of data security and compliance standards. Preferred Skills Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell). Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration platforms. Certifications in database management or cloud platforms are advantageous. exp.- minimum 7yrs. Working days Monday to Friday- 10 am to 7 pm 1 st and 2 nd Saturday- 10 am to 4 pm 2 nd and 4 th Saturday- WFH (depending on Management decision) .
