About the role
Role Overview: As a Senior Engineer / Assistant Area Manager specializing in Concrete Line / Boom Pumps & Batching Plants, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert-level service, maintenance, and troubleshooting for concrete pumps, including line pumps and boom pumps. This role will involve offering in-office and remote customer support to ensure high operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Service & Maintenance: - Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for line pumps and boom pumps. - Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot technical issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. - Oversee major overhauls and repairs to ensure pumps are in optimal working condition. - Customer Support: - Provide technical assistance to customers on-site and remotely. - Address customer complaints and resolve technical issues promptly. - Train customers on equipment operation, basic maintenance, and safety procedures. - Team Leadership & Coordination: - Lead and guide junior service engineers and technicians. - Coordinate with the Area / Regional Service Manager for resource allocation and scheduling. - Monitor and report on team performance and service activities. - Compliance & Documentation: - Maintain accurate service logs, reports, and documentation. - Ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures during service operations. - Support the implementation of ISO and other quality standards in service operations. - Spare Parts Management: - Coordinate with the stores team to ensure the availability of spare parts. - Monitor spare parts usage and recommend optimal stock levels. - Continuous Improvement: - Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to service procedures. - Provide feedback to the design and manufacturing teams to enhance product reliability. Qualification Required: - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering - Minimum 8 years of experience in servicing concrete pumps, including line and boom pumps Additional Company Details: You will be working in a dynamic environment that requires frequent travel within the assigned region for on-site service activities. Proficiency in using Service CRM, excellent problem-solving skills, customer-handling skills, and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple service requests are essential for this role.
