About the role
You are a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer with expertise in Python, ETL testing, cloud technologies, and automation frameworks. Your role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks using Python and the Behave framework. You will perform API testing, data reconciliation, and transformation validations for ETL/data ingestion processes within GCP environments. Additionally, you will utilize GCP SDKs and APIs for testing workflows, conduct performance testing using tools like JMeter, and work with schema-based ingestion tools like Swagger. Your responsibilities also include executing testing across cloud-based CI/CD pipelines, participating in Agile ceremonies, managing test cases using tools such as Jira and Zephyr, and validating data across SQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle databases and GCP services. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python and the Behave framework. - Perform API testing, data reconciliation, and transformation validations for ETL/data ingestion processes within GCP environments. - Utilize GCP SDKs and APIs for testing workflows. - Conduct performance testing using JMeter or similar tools. - Work with schema-based ingestion and definition tools like Swagger. - Execute testing across cloud-based CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. - Manage test cases and execution using tools such as Jira and Zephyr. - Validate data across SQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle databases and GCP services. - Provide mentorship to team members and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. - Support innovation, take initiative, and ensure accountability in delivering high-quality testing outcomes. Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience with Python fundamentals, data structures, file handling, logging, debugging, Pandas, and API requests. - Experience in Test Automation using Python + Behave, API testing, ETL/data ingestion testing in GCP, and GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, and Cloud Storage. - Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter, cloud-based Git repositories, and Agile development environments. - Strong understanding of databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. - Proficiency in using test management tools like Jira & Zephyr. - ISTQB Foundation Certification. - Strong collaboration, communication, customer-centricity, analytical thinking, adaptability, and accountability. - Leadership qualities, resilience, and commitment to mentoring and knowledge sharing. In addition to the mandatory requirements, preferred skills include experience with mock/stub tools like WireMock, exposure to non-functional security testing tools, Terraform deployments, test automation with Selenium + Java, unit testing, familiarity with cloud-based test environments, as well as cloud and automation certifications.
