L2/L3 Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Location - Turbhe, Navi Mumbai Role Overview : We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support a growing network infrastructure. The role requires ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of LAN/WAN networks in a 24/7 support environment. Scope of Work / Responsibilities : 24/7 Network Support : - Provide round-the-clock monitoring and support for network infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and quick incident resolution. Configuration & Maintenance : - Install, configure, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Troubleshooting & Incident Management : - Perform advanced diagnostics to identify and resolve network outages, latency issues, and performance bottlenecks. Network Security Management : - Implement and manage security controls such as ACLs, VPNs, IDS/IPS to safeguard infrastructure and data. Monitoring & Performance Optimization : - Use enterprise monitoring tools like Dynatrace, SolarWinds, or Nagios to proactively detect issues and optimize network performance. Documentation : - Maintain updated network diagrams, IP addressing schemes, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Upgrades & Capacity Planning : - Plan and execute firmware upgrades, hardware refreshes, and network capacity expansions. Disaster Recovery & Backup : - Ensure proper backup configurations, disaster recovery readiness, and perform recovery operations when required. Technical Skill Requirements : Network Hardware : - Strong experience with Cisco platforms (ISR 1900/2900/4000 series, Catalyst switches, Nexus). Routing & Switching Protocols : - Hands-on expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, and 802.1X. Network Connectivity : - Solid understanding of MPLS, SD-WAN, and site-to-site VPNs. Operations & Support : - Experience with password recovery (ROMMON), configuration backups, and production support environments. Compliance & Security Standards : - Knowledge of corporate governance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC2.
