Manager - Design (Cyclo)

Position: Design Manager Reporting to: Chief Technical Advisor Direct Reportees: 5 Team size: 5 Location: Satara Company: Cyclo Transmissions Ltd. Industry:Should have worked for a substantial period of time in companies involved in manufacturing of Light engineering goods entailing large volume manufacturing, Machinery Manufacturers, Electric Motors, Gearboxes/Mechanical power transmissions, Pumps/Valves, Compressors, Hydraulic or Pneumatic tools/equipment, Generators, Petrol powered engines, Electrical goods, Transformers, White goods, Auto component manufacturing, etc Experience: 8-12 Yrs Qualifications: BE (Mechanical) Requirements Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering. Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in design of mechanical equipment preferably in Gear industry. Experience with design of gears, gearboxes etc is added advantage. Proficiency in checking and correcting of mechanical drawings, GD&T, BOM and technical specifications. Proficiency in Desing software such as KissSoft and/or other mechanical product design is an added advantage. Proficient in 2D drafting and 3D modelling, preferably in Solidworks and AutoCAD. Ability to manage a team of design engineers. Communicating/coordinating with various departments. Ability to lead CFTs and proficient in Problem solving technics. Preferred Capabilities(Profile) Designing of gearbox and components using available software. Checking and guiding the preparation 3D models in SolidWorks and subsequent manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Define testing procedures and QAP for products. Prepare cost analysis of products and prepare pricelists. Prepare Datasheets and Catalogs for products. DFMEA of new and revised components. Work in CFTs to implement CAPA plans, Kaizens, Six Sigma, Lean etc. Preparing Technical files of Products for BIS/CE certifications
