Overview The role of SAP FICO Consultant is crucial in ensuring that an organization’s financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. The SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) Consultant is responsible for implementing and managing SAP's financial modules, which integrate financial and controlling processes, enabling accurate reporting and analytics. This role serves as a bridge between the technical team, finance department, and external stakeholders, ensuring that all financial data is properly configured and utilized throughout the organization. With a focus on best practices, compliance, and strategic financial planning, the SAP FICO Consultant significantly contributes to the company's overall performance and decision-making processes. They must possess a deep understanding of financial principles, SAP tools, and project management methodologies to navigate the complexities of financial operations effectively. This position often involves collaboration across departments, making strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for success. Key Responsibilities Implement and configure SAP FICO modules tailored to the organization’s requirements. Analyze and document business processes and functional requirements. Support and enhance financial system integrations with various business applications. Conduct system testing and validation of SAP modules post-implementation. Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards using SAP tools. Provide end-user training and support on the SAP FICO system. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial strategies. Oversee cost controlling initiatives and analyze variances regularly. Assist in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Manage month-end closing processes and ensure accurate financial reporting. Monitor regulatory changes impacting financial operations and ensure compliance. Support internal audits and assist in process improvements. Identify system bugs, propose improvements, and participate in system upgrades. Serve as a liaison between finance and IT departments. Stay updated on SAP FICO features and industry best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP FICO configuration and support. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Experience in SAP implementation projects (full lifecycle preferred). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in SAP FICO module functionalities and reporting tools. Knowledge of integration processes with other SAP modules (MM, SD). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with financial reporting tools and methodologies. Understanding of corporate taxation principles and regulations. Certifications related to SAP FICO are a plus. Project management experience is advantageous. Willingness to travel for on-site project requirements. Fluency in additional languages is a plus. Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
