Overview The SAP Process Integration (PI) Consultant plays a critical role in our organization by facilitating seamless communication and data exchange between various systems. This role is essential in ensuring that business processes are integrated efficiently and effectively across different platforms. The SAP PI Consultant is responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining integration solutions that link SAP and non-SAP applications, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and productivity. A strong grasp of both functional and technical aspects of SAP PI is necessary to support our diverse business processes and to guarantee that integrations operate smoothly. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to optimize workflows, resolve integration challenges, and provide critical support to IT and business teams alike. By maintaining high standards in integration processes, the SAP PI Consultant significantly contributes to the organization's success and its ability to respond swiftly to changing business needs. Key Responsibilities Design and implement SAP PI integration solutions for complex scenarios. Develop integration flows utilizing the Enterprise Services Repository (ESR). Create and maintain various mappings (e.g., graphical, XSLT). Configure and manage communication channels. Perform scheduled and event-driven integration process development. Collaborate with business analysts to understand integration requirements. Utilize monitoring tools to track and maintain system status and performance. Troubleshoot integration issues in real-time and provide resolutions. Document integration configurations, processes, and best practices. Assist in testing phases to ensure integration validity before deployment. Work closely with functional teams to enhance overall system integration. Provide support during system upgrades and migrations. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Maintain knowledge of SAP PI and related technologies. Provide training and mentorship to junior team members. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 5 years experience in SAP PI or related middleware technologies. In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) concepts. Experience with various SAP modules (e.g., ABAP, MM, SD). Familiarity with non-SAP integration techniques and protocols. Proficient in message protocols such as SOAP, REST, or JMS. Working knowledge of IDoc, BAPIs, and RFC's. Experience with SAP PI/PO monitoring tools and techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly. Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus. SAP certification in PI/PO highly preferred. Familiarity with API management platforms is an advantage.
