About the role
Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing scalable automation solutions, improving test coverage, and ensuring high-quality software releases in Agile environments. Your expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver, API automation, and test framework development will be vital in leading automation initiatives and mentoring team members. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, and related technologies. - Create and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and end-to-end testing. - Define automation strategies, best practices, and quality standards across projects. - Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test approaches. - Review and optimize existing automation frameworks for scalability, maintainability, and performance. - Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools. - Lead test planning, effort estimation, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting activities. - Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. - Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers on automation best practices. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives for quality engineering and test automation processes. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to release planning and risk assessment. Qualification Required: - 5-12 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation. - Strong programming experience in Java. - Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. - Strong knowledge of TestNG/JUnit frameworks. - Experience in building automation frameworks using Page Object Model (POM), Data-Driven, Hybrid, or BDD frameworks. - Experience with API Automation using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools. - Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests. - Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and defect management tools such as Jira. - Good knowledge of SQL and database testing. - Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
