About the role
Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Railway Display Systems / Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Department: Railway Systems | Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) | Passenger Information Systems Role Overview As a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) , you will undergo structured, hands-on training in railway passenger information and display systems , including control software, networking, and field integration. You will work closely with senior engineers to support the development, testing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of real-time display systems deployed at railway stations and onboard trains. Key Responsibilities Assist in the development, configuration, and deployment of software applications Work on real-time software systems for passenger information displays Perform system testing, debugging, validation, and troubleshooting Support network connectivity and communication between system components Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and test reports Assist in on-site installation, integration, and commissioning activities Programming Fundamentals Hands-on experience with C / C++ (preferred) Familiarity with Python and Java Core Knowledge Data Structures and Operating System fundamentals Networking basics, including TCP/IP Working knowledge of Linux Basic understanding of databases ( MySQL preferred ) Tools & Technologies Git version control Embedded Linux environments Qt / QML framework Eligibility Criteria B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or Instrumentation Graduation Year: Recent pass-outs (2023 2026) Minimum 60% aggregate throughout academics Preferred Skills (Added Advantage) Internship or academic project experience in IoT, Embedded Systems, or Web Applications Proficiency in Linux command-line operations Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi / Arduino platforms
