About the role
Roles & Responsibilities: Experience in System Software Design and flowdown of software requirements from System Design with project planning Must have deep knowledge and experience of Embedded System software for multiple processor families Should have familiarity with x8, x16, x32 , x64 bit Microprocessor /microcontrollers belonging to ARM, Intel, PowerPC architectures Experience in memory and IO chips as per application needs based on study of data sheets like NOR, NAND, SATA, EMMC Hands on experience with communication protocols like MIL Bus 1553 , ARINC 429, I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB ,CAN, RS485 Experience with Device Driver development for Windows, Linux, VxWorks- A must Knowledge of DO178 B/C certification process, MISHRA-C and artifacts Familiarity with Software Verification and Validation Processes and Tools like IV & V C /C++/C-Sharp programming skills Qt- cross-platform framework for developing applications and graphical user interfaces (GUIs) that can run across different operating systems. Windows Device driver development on any of Windows OS variant (Windows XP/ Windows Vista/ Windows7/Windows CE ) Debugging using WinDBG Windows/Linux based Hardware/ Display device programming experience Code analysis and debugging skills Understanding of Windows OS concepts, Win32 APIs. Development of Platform (BOOT, BSP, OS) core software and drivers Bare Metal Software Development Hands-on experience with VxWorks RTOS for safety-critical avionics applications Experience in VxWorks BSP development, board bring-up, OS configuration, and customization Development and debugging of device drivers and application software on VxWorks, including inter-task communication, interrupt handling, and real-time performance optimization Familiarity with DO-178B/C compliant software development using VxWorks, including traceability and certification artifacts (desirable) Final technical authority for software design reviews and certifications Other Skills / Expertise: Experience in Leading a team of embedded engineers (at least 5) Management of multiple development projects Interworking with other Departments for product delivery Building relationships with cross functional teams
