Senior Azure Data Engineer

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Azure-based data solutions Design, implement, and manage end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and related technologies. Develop and deploy data integration and transformation processes to consolidate, cleanse, and enrich data from various sources Implement best practices for data modeling, storage, and indexing in Azure SQL databases and Azure Data Lake Storage. Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, leveraging Azure services. Design and implement data security, access controls, and compliance measures in accordance with industry standards. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely data for analytics and reporting. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, performance, and data quality. Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and trends in data engineering to ensure continuous improvement of our data solutions. Mentor and guide junior data engineers on technical best practices and development methodologies. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven track record of 5-8 years in Azure data engineering, with a focus on data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing. Strong expertise in designing and implementing data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and related Azure services. Proficiency in SQL queries and scripting for data transformation and integration. Experience with data modeling, database design, and optimization for Azure SQL databases and Azure Data Lake Storage. Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and version control. Knowledge of cloud security principles and practices for data protection and compliance. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex data engineering issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Prior experience mentoring and guiding junior data engineers is advantageous. Microsoft certified Azure Data Engineer certifications are a plus. Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and containerization (Docker) is desirable.
