About the role
Role Overview: As a meticulous Senior Manual Tester at Saxo located in Gurugram, you will be an integral part of the EOD Core team. Your role will involve developing and implementing comprehensive test plans, conducting rigorous manual testing, collaborating with development teams, and maintaining detailed documentation of test outcomes. You will also participate in requirement analysis, design reviews, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of testing practices and methodologies. Additionally, you will provide mentorship and support to junior testers as required. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements. - Conduct rigorous manual testing to identify, record, and monitor defects and issues. - Collaborate with development teams to ensure clear understanding, prioritization, and resolution of issues. - Execute functional, regression, and integration testing to pinpoint, document, and manage defects. - Maintain detailed documentation of test outcomes, defects, and the status of testing efforts. - Participate in requirement analysis, design reviews, and various quality assurance activities. - Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of testing practices and methodologies. - Provide mentorship and support to junior testers as required. Qualifications Required: - 10-15 years of experience in manual and automation testing. - Profound understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and Agile ceremonies. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. - Proficient in using defect tracking tools and test management software. - Basic to intermediate SQL query skills, with the ability to write and understand SQL code to effectively manipulate and query databases for testing purposes. Desirable Skills: - Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks. - Knowledge of scripting languages for test automation.
