About the role
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in both Database Administration and Database Development roles in a production environment. Demonstrable expert proficiency in managing, optimizing, and developing in Oracle relational database system. Mastery of advanced SQL/PLSQL for complex querying, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning. Proven experience with database architecture, data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical), and database design. Extensive experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies and tools. Solid understanding of database security principles, access control, and data encryption. Familiarity with operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows Server) and strong scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, PowerShell) for database automation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for complex database issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead discussions and articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
