Design Engineer

The Design Engineer will be responsible to carryout various engineering duties including designing, verifying design through engineering calculations, modelling and/or simulation, researching, and prototyping of new products. Will also be responsible to collaborate with the design and production teams on various design projects, using in-depth knowledge of the latest design trends and engineering software to lead the way. In addition to being a good communicator, candidates should be creative thinkers with excellent problem-solving skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follow Engineering standards for selection of parts specification and maintain standardization in place prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings of components using software tools such as Solid Edge. Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are producible and meet quality standards with all required details for manufacture. Maintain project documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications. Coordinate with other Engineering team members to design, layout, or detail components and systems to provide solutions to design and/or manufacturing challenges. Review and analyze project specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas and related data. Provide technical support for the Sales, Purchasing, and Production teams as needed. Engage with Production team members to improve designs or manufacturing processes. Modify and revise existing designs to improve operating deficiencies or reduce production times through proper communication to the all-respective departments. Create and maintain bills of materials for existing designs using appropriate software. Communicate with customers and vendors to ensure project specifications are met. Working on Manuals and familiar with SAP/ERP process. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor s degree in Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical/ITI draftsman exp 4-6 years or related field preferred Minimum of 4-6 years Working knowledge of 2D and 3D modelling software (Solid Edge experience preferred). Experience in international project co-ordination & intercultural environment. Experience in a manufacturing environment Food Industry experience a plus. Expert in 3D & 2D Modelling + Drafting Sheet Metal, Assembly, and Sub Assembly of Mechanical. Experience and knowledge of manufacturing methods, and fabrication processes. Preparing / Review of Manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials (BOM). Knowledge of welding symbols and GD&T. Plant Engineering solutions knowledge for product routing from input to output. Perform design calculations and analysis, PFMEA, DFM. Be able to work effectively in cross-functional global teams. Experience in the selection of Values, Blowers, and Pneumatic Actuators. Maintain Global acceptable quality in documents and drawings. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC: Solid Edge software know-how. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively, flexible, highly motivated person with proactive approach to work. Problem-solving skills, willing to work long term goal and curious to learn new things. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and maintain timelines. Must be self-motivated as well as a great team member.
