QA Automation Engineer (Endpoint knowledge in Mac or in Windows)

JOB Description ; Job Tile: QA Automation Engineer (Endpoint knowledge in Mac or in Windows) Experience – 5 to 8 Years Experience Location: Bangalore Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Endpoint Security QA Automation Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience in test automation and quality engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in API automation, End-to-End (E2E) testing, and CI/CD integration , along with experience validating security-focused products and endpoint protection solutions. This role requires ownership of feature quality from planning through release, ensuring robust, scalable, and reliable test automation. Key Responsibilities · Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for APIs (REST & gRPC) and web-based applications. · Own end-to-end quality assurance for endpoint security features, ensuring high-quality product releases. · Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and validation approaches. · Develop automated test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and security-related scenarios. · Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Security teams to ensure complete test coverage. · Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and identify defects, performance issues, and quality gaps. · Integrate and maintain automation suites within CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing. · Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability, quality risks, and edge cases. · Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation best practices across teams. · Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing processes, and quality metrics for scalability and efficiency. · Support release validation and production quality monitoring activities. Required Skills & Experience · 6–8 years of experience in QA Automation, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering. · Strong hands-on experience in API Automation Testing using REST and gRPC services. · Expertise in E2E Automation Frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium. · Experience validating endpoint security, cybersecurity, or enterprise software products. · Proven ability to independently drive feature quality, including test strategy, execution, and validation. · Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms. · Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java . · Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum practices. · Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or equivalent. · Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. · Experience leading automation initiatives and mentoring team members is preferred. Preferred Qualifications · Experience testing Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP), Antivirus, Device Control, or Security Management Solutions . · Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. · Knowledge of performance, reliability, and security testing concepts. · Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments. · Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security fundamentals. · Experience working in large-scale enterprise or SaaS product environments.
