As a Principal Site Reliability Engineer at SimCorp, you will play a vital role in guiding the direction of the Azure-based SaaS platform and Site Reliability strategy. Your responsibilities will extend beyond hands-on engineering to include leading complex initiatives related to platform reliability, observability, onboarding automation, and incident response. Your expertise in SRE and ITIL practices will be instrumental in enhancing platform resilience and client experience. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure a fully cloud-native SaaS provider with high-performing, secure, and automated service delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the technical lead on SRE initiatives across multiple Product Areas - Drive strategic use of Microsoft Azure in onboarding and site reliability disciplines - Architect scalable, secure, and automated solutions for client onboarding and live operations - Lead the design and evolution of cross-cutting platform capabilities - Shape and govern Azure implementation patterns for platform standardization, reliability, and cost-efficiency - Advise on cloud platform decisions, including trade-offs and risk mitigation - Collaborate with cross-functional teams on compliance and cloud controls - Lead root cause analysis, incident postmortems, and reliability retrospectives - Provide thought leadership, mentoring, and coaching to engineers - Contribute to the company's transformation into a SaaS-first, cloud-native organization Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Architecture - Extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure, including architecture, deployment, and automation - Knowledge of Windows Servers OS, troubleshooting, and enterprise System Operations - Proficiency in cloud-native and hybrid architectures, distributed systems, networking, and security - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and observability stacks - Strong foundation in ITIL processes and operational excellence - Ability to influence stakeholders, lead through ambiguity, and align engineering with business needs - Passion for mentorship, knowledge sharing, and building engineering culture This position offers attractive salary, executive-level bonus scheme, pension, flexible working hours, and hybrid work models.
