About the role
Role: The QA Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and leading manual and automation testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role involves leading the overall test strategy, implementing automation efforts, employing industry best practices, mentoring team members, and driving innovations in overall testing processes. Responsibilities: Automation Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks and tools. Test Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement innovative strategies and industry best practices for testing functional, regression, performance, and API-level scenarios. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the QA team in automation best practices and tools, fostering collaboration and efficiency. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. Client Engagement: Engage and communicate directly with client stakeholders for joint platform testing projects where applicable. Defect Management: Identify, track, and report bugs effectively, keeping the platform defect rate below 1%. Quality Processes: Drive continuous improvement by evaluating new tools, frameworks, and techniques. Documentation: Create detailed documentation for automation scripts, processes, and frameworks. Reporting: Develop and share visual dashboards and executive reports on platform quality at the executive level, reporting into the Product Leader (Sr. Product Manager). Must have skills: 712 years of testing experience, including a minimum of 5 years working with automation tools and strategies. Proven experience in transitioning to an automated test framework from a previously manual one. Experience working with one or more automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter, Testim, etc.). Experience leading a team of at least 510 QA analysts. Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and Test Management tools. Experience in testing REST APIs and microservices, and familiarity with tools such as Postman. Experience in designing, executing, and reporting performance test cases. Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
