Trainee Database Engineer

You are looking for a Trainee Database Engineer role in Pune, India. In this role, you will assist senior engineers in supporting PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and Cosmos databases. You will be responsible for monitoring, performance optimization, and deployment activities across different environments. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cosmos DB databases in various environments. - Support database configuration and upgrades for different database platforms. - Monitor database health, performance, and availability using relevant tools. - Execute database backups and assist in analyzing performance issues. - Track and report on database KPIs and assist in database migrations. - Support troubleshooting of database connectivity issues, application errors, and performance degradation. Qualifications Required: - Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cosmos database architecture. - Knowledge of Database Queries (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOINs). - Understanding of database concepts like Indexes, Normalization, Transactions, Backup & recovery. - Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and familiarity with Git or version control systems. - Exposure to cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS is a plus.
