Senior Automation Engineer

As a Senior Automation Engineer at your company, you will be responsible for owning and evolving the Playwright-based end-to-end test suite in the repository. Your core responsibilities will include test architecture, framework health, CI/CD pipeline stability, and ensuring comprehensive coverage across functional, accessibility, performance, integration, and visual regression testing. You will collaborate closely with the Lead QA and team engineers to ensure automation and general testing are aligned with product changes in Arc. Core Responsibilities: - Own the Playwright framework - Develop and maintain test suites - Manage CI/CD - Expand coverage - Triage and debugging - Performance and functional testing Required Skills & Experience: - 7+ years of experience in Automation & Testing - Minimum 4 years of experience with Playwright (or equivalent tools like Cypress, WebdriverIO) in a TypeScript project - Strong understanding of Page Object Model and fixture-based test design - Proficiency in writing and maintaining visual regression tests, including screenshot diffing and snapshot management across OS platforms - Experience in accessibility testing following WCAG 2.1 AA standards Nice to Have: - Experience with Storybook visual testing or component-level accessibility checks - Familiarity with Vercel preview deployments and deployment protection bypass patterns - API testing experience (REST or GraphQL) to complement UI tests with contract validation - Basic knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud or Shopify APIs at a conceptual level - Familiarity with Jest/Testing Library for unit/integration test coverage of arc-ui components If you are interested in this role, please reach out to okavitha@simpliigence.com or call at (+91) 74839 25904.
