About the role
As a Simulator Designer specializing in XR-based hardware development, you will play a key role in conceptualizing, designing, prototyping, and integrating physical hardware components that support immersive XR simulations Your primary responsibilities will include designing industrial-grade hardware, creating custom controller attachments using 3D printing, and ensuring accurate integration with XR devices for real-time interaction and tracking Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand project requirements and develop hardware concepts for XR-based simulations and training systems Translate technical needs into ergonomic and functional hardware designs Create detailed 3D CAD models of hardware components and custom attachments for XR hardware Use 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques to develop working hardware prototypes Ensure seamless integration of hardware components with XR systems (eg, Meta Quest, HTC Vive, Pico) Align and calibrate custom-built hardware with tracking systems and controllers for optimal user interaction Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate microcontrollers (eg, ESP32) and sensors into hardware designs Conduct functional and usability testing of prototypes Refine designs based on user feedback and technical performance Work closely with other team members to ensure hardware supports end-to-end XR experiences Coordinate with vendors or internal teams for material selection, manufacturing, or assembly Prepare comprehensive documentation including technical drawings, assembly guides, and maintenance manuals Ensure adherence to industry standards and safety guidelines in all hardware components Required QualificationsDiploma or BTech/BE in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Product Design, or related fields Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD Experience with 3D printing processes, materials, and design constraints Basic knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers (eg, Arduino) Strong problem-solving and prototyping mindset Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team Good documentation and communication skills BenefitsApart from a competitive salary package and an energetic work environment, we offer the following benefits to our employees:Super generous leave policyMedical and Accident Insurance, with other health benefits Meal and Travel Allowances A supportive work community Weekly engagement activities and off-site events Unlimited opportunities to learn and grow Flexible working hours
