Job Title : Software Test Engineer

Location: Tysons Corner, VA / Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to support testing activities for enterprise applications in a cloud-native environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in functional, integration, and API testing within Agile development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts

Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing

Identify, document, and track defects

Collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve issues

Support automation testing initiatives

Participate in Agile ceremonies and release validation activities

Ensure software quality and compliance with requirements

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of software testing experience

Experience with API testing and test management tools

Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies

Understanding of microservices-based applications

Ability to write and modify PostgreSQL or SQL scripts for testing

Experience with CodeCept or similar JavaScript or Playwright automation tool.

Creating and Maintaining Automation Script Framework

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation tools

• Exposure to cloud-based applications and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with Test Management tools such as JIRA and/or TestRail

• Healthcare or government project experience preferred

Compensation

The expected compensation range for this position is $84,000 – $125,000 annually. Compensation is determined in good faith and may vary based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, clearance level, labor category alignment, contract requirements, work location, internal equity, and business needs.

The posted range reflects the Sky’s reasonable estimate at the time of posting and does not guarantee a specific salary or rate. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and applicable contractual and business considerations.
