Production Engineer

Senior Production Engineer (Mid-Career) Location: Libya Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Production Engineer (Mid-Career) to support the Product and Service Delivery (PSD) team in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable products and services to our customers in Libya. The role focuses on developing and delivering optimized technical job designs, providing real-time operational support, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across Product Lines. The Senior Production Engineer is also responsible for cost optimization through COSD (Cost of Service Delivery) and applying lessons learned to improve future job designs. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver optimized technical job designs for assigned Product Lines

Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery in support of PSD operations

Identify and implement innovative and cost-effective techniques to improve performance

Explore opportunities for value-added products and services

Provide technical support throughout the service delivery lifecycle, including real-time operational support

Communicate the value of technologies and technical interpretations to customers and internal stakeholders

Collaborate with subject matter experts to optimize technical designs and mitigate operational risks

Support OU PSD and/or PSD Managers during the execution phase, adapting designs to changes in job parameters, resource availability, or service quality incidents

Assist in incident response, recovery, and investigation, ensuring lessons learned are captured and applied

Support multiple Product Line operations through collaborative and optimized job designs

Assist Sales and Commercial teams in evaluating technical feasibility and tender submissions

Analyze job execution versus design and formally document lessons learned, best practices, and optimization opportunities

Contribute to COSD management and resource optimization

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

• Mid-career experience in production engineering, service delivery, or oilfield operations

• Strong knowledge of technical job design, risk management, and operational execution

• Proven ability to support field operations and real-time decision-making

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, field-oriented environment in Libya
