DevOps Manager/ Lead Experience: 5+ Years Location: Hyderabad (HYD) About SmartDocs SmartDocs is an AI-powered Source-to-Pay platform helping enterprises digitize and automate their procurement and finance operations. As we scale our platform, we're building a strong DevOps function to keep our infrastructure fast, secure, and reliable. The Role SmartDocs is looking for an experienced DevOps Manager to lead our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and platform security. You'll own our multi-cloud environment end to end, drive automation and security best practices, and lead a team of DevOps engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who likes building robust systems and growing a high-performing team. What You'll Do Lead and grow a 3–4 person DevOps/SRE team, including the on-call program Own our Microsoft Azure environment end to end: networking, IaC (we'll look to you for the right tooling), cost, and security posture Own uptime and SLAs for production client environments; run incident response and postmortems Build and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting trunk-based development across U.S. and India engineering teams Operate and tune MongoDB at production scale, including backup and restore testing Own infrastructure security: patching, secrets, certificates, vulnerability management, network segmentation Produce and maintain the technical evidence behind our SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications; partner with auditors and respond to client security reviews Own disaster recovery: define RTO/RPO, test it, prove it What We're Looking For 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/infrastructure, with 3+ years leading engineers Deep, current Azure experience (networking, identity, monitoring, cost); IaC proficiency (Terraform, Bicep, or similar) Production operations experience with real SLAs — you've carried a pager and run incidents Hands-on with CI/CD at team scale (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar) Experience operating databases in production; MongoDB strongly preferred Working knowledge of SOC 2 / ISO 27001 controls — you've been through audits and know what evidence looks like Nice to Have Fluency with modern AI development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Lovable) Experience supporting a SaaS / enterprise product environment Why SmartDocs Join a fast-growing AI product company where your work directly shapes how enterprises run their operations.
