Backend Developer (SDE II)

We are looking for a Backend Developer (SDE II) to design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems using Node.js . You will own end-to-end feature development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive engineering best practices while ensuring reliability, scalability, and code quality. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js .Build and optimise RESTful APIs and backend architectures.Design and optimise PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases for performance and scalability.Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.Collaborate with product, frontend, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance.Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making. Requirements: 3-6 years of experience with Node.js and JavaScript.Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.Strong understanding of REST APIs, Git, and software design principles.Experience building scalable backend systems and distributed applications.Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills. Preferred: Experience with system design, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).Familiarity with TDD, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and automated testing.Experience with Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, or other caching and messaging technologies.Ability to mentor engineers and independently own features from design to production. .
