Staff Engineer- Backend (Gurugram)

Job Description : Requirements - 810 years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience building and scaling backend or platform systems. - Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, networking, and database design. - Deep expertise in backend development using technologies such as Node.js, Java, Go, Python, or similar. - Proven track record of designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in high-growth environments. - Experience leading architecture decisions and delivering complex technical initiatives across multiple teams. - Demonstrated success in scaling platforms through rapid growth phases, from early-stage systems to enterprise-grade infrastructure. - Strong understanding of system reliability, observability, performance optimization, and cloud-native architectures. - Experience with platform engineering, developer productivity tooling, shared services, infrastructure abstractions, or internal developer platforms. - Hands-on expertise with modern cloud platforms, containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD practices. - Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and make sound technical decisions with incomplete information. - Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences. - Proven ability to mentor engineers, elevate technical standards, and drive engineering culture. - Experience in fintech, payments, lending, or other high-volume transactional systems is a strong advantage. - Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and bias for action, with a focus on delivering meaningful business outcomes.
