Role Overview: As a Full Stack Tech Lead, you will play a crucial role in establishing and developing an engineering team. Your responsibilities will involve both leadership and hands-on tasks, ensuring technical excellence, guiding team members, and delivering impactful solutions that contribute to driving the energy transition. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to further scale and expand the team as per evolving business needs. Key Responsibilities: - Build and Lead a Team: Hire, onboard, and coach a high-performing cross-functional team consisting of backend, frontend, and QA engineers. - Drive Delivery: Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring that milestones are met with a focus on quality, scalability, and sustainability. - Hands-on Guidance: Actively contribute to the codebase, lead by example in both backend and frontend development, and provide support in tackling complex technical challenges. - Set Technical Direction: Influence system architecture, establish coding standards, and facilitate the adoption of best practices within the team. - Foster Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Engineering Managers and other engineering teams to ensure alignment and seamless integration. - Ensure Quality: Supervise testing processes, conduct code reviews, and maintain high-quality standards across all deliverables. - Scale for the Future: Establish the groundwork for a sustainable and scalable external team that can grow in line with the company's changing requirements. Qualification Required: - Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. - Proven track record as a Tech Lead or Senior Full Stack Engineer with leadership responsibilities. - Strong experience in backend development using Python and Django, along with proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript. - Experience in leading teams, including tasks like hiring, coaching, and mentoring engineers. - Hands-on experience in system design, REST API development, and microservices. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern DevOps practices. - Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of German is a plus). - Passion for clean code, automation, and sustainable engineering practices, as well as a motivation to contribute to the energy transition.
