Application DBA / App DBA Professional (Tamil Nadu)

DBA Oracle 3 (6-9 Years) We are looking for a skilled Application DBA / App DBA to manage and support application databases with a strong focus on schema management, database performance, SQL tuning, and data migration. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database design, troubleshooting, optimization, and operational support, along with strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Create, maintain, and manage database schemas, tables, indexes, constraints, and other database objects. Support database design and schema changes for application enhancements and releases. Perform performance troubleshooting across database and application layers. Review, analyze, and tune SQL/PLSQL queries to improve performance and efficiency. Monitor database performance using tools such as AWR, ADDM, and OEM. Execute and support data migration activities across environments. Perform data hydration, environment refreshes, and data movement using Data Pump. Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes. Work closely with application, development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure stable database operations. Ensure database reliability, integrity, and availability in line with business and application requirements. Required Skills Strong experience as an Application DBA / App DBA. Hands-on expertise in: DB schema creation and maintenance Table creation and database object management Performance troubleshooting SQL review and tuning Data migration Data hydration Data Pump AWR, ADDM, OEM Robust analytical and problem-solving skills. Good collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Good to Have Skills Experience with Replication / Oracle GoldenGate. Exposure to PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and CockroachDB. Knowledge of CDC (Change Data Capture). Experience working with AWS database environments and services. Preferred Candidate Profile Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization best practices. Ability to manage database changes in application-driven environments. Comfortable handling both operational support and project-based database activities.
