About the role
As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer specializing in Product Development & Supplier Quality with a focus on fabrication, your role involves managing various responsibilities to ensure the successful development of fabricated components and assemblies within the automotive manufacturing sector. Key Responsibilities: - Manage product development processes for fabricated components & assemblies - Conduct supplier audits, inspections, and implement quality improvement activities - Review engineering drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and technical specifications - Provide support for APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and root cause analysis - Collaborate with suppliers, engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams - Ensure adherence to quality, manufacturability, and customer standards Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering - Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining & assembly processes - Hands-on experience in Supplier Quality and New Product Development - Exposure to coating processes such as Powder Coating and Painting - Good understanding of inspection techniques and drawing interpretation - Preferred experience in the automotive industry Additional Details: - Experience with Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers is desirable - Knowledge of AWS / ISO welding standards is a plus - ISO / IATF 16949 auditor certification is advantageous - Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering - Openness to supplier visits and travel requirements If you possess the requisite experience and skills for this position, we invite you to share your resume with us.
