About the role
As a B6 role in the Risk Analytics and Insights Team at Standard Chartered, your primary responsibility is to drive the implementation of data-driven strategies to enhance Risk Management processes and provide best-in-class analytics support. Key Responsibilities: - Support the Data, Insights & Analytics initiatives within T&O, as per Team SOP. - Assist the People Leader in identifying necessary infrastructure, tools, trainings, or capabilities for the team. - Design and deliver measurement, reporting, and dashboard capabilities for effective oversight of the Banks global business services model. - Support lifecycle management for products and tools built or supported. - Ensure metrics, reporting standards, and management information are robust and consistent. - Stay updated with BI industry trends and best practices. - Collaborate with other Data, Insights & Analytics teams. - Gather and understand stakeholder requirements for proactive sharing of data-driven insights. - Serve as the primary point of contact for Stakeholders for functional analysis and product development. Strategy: - Support execution of the management of the Data Insight and Analytics book of work. - Provide ideas for developing and executing long-term strategies. - Promote a business intelligence and analytics culture. - Partner with stakeholders to implement target state telemetry and dashboard model. Business: - Provide visual design support for Stakeholders. - Assist in defining success measures for the Performance Analytics and Management Team. Processes: - Perform design and data analysis. - Establish consistent definitions and reporting standards. - Design and maintain dashboards, reporting cycles, and data flows. - Gather Business requirements and produce Functional requirement documents. - Coordinate efforts to source data for products. - Support planning product lifecycle management. People & Talent: - Provide self-motivating leadership. - Build innovation culture and values. - Provide leadership and coaching. - Foster relationships with stakeholders. - Enhance quality and timely delivery of work. Risk Management: - Help identify and resolve issues that hinder implementation steps. - Resolve issues or conflicts under the Programme. - Ensure inter-dependencies are managed. Governance: - Maintain clear ownership information and auditability of metrics. - Establish relationships with governance, risk, and control teams. - Provide timely data analytics to key stakeholders. - Challenge business requirements for Risk tools. Regulatory & Business Conduct: - Display exemplary conduct and live by the Groups Values and Code of Conduct. - Identify and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters. Key stakeholders: - T&O Risk and Governance Global Head and direct reports. - T&O Management team and BPMs. - Programme Director and Team for Vantage Programme. - Other teams within Technology and Operations department. Skills And Experience: - Tertiary qualifications in relevant areas. - 7+ years as Data Engineer/Data Stewart. - Prior experience in business analysis and creating dashboards. - Experience in management information and performance reporting. - Coding skills in Python/Pyspark. - Excellent organizational and leadership skills. - Strong communication and briefing skills. - Experience with Business Intelligence platforms such as Tableau.
