PowerBI Developer

You are a skilled and strategic Power BI Engineer with over two years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics. Your role involves proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel, including the ability to build dynamic visualizations from OLAP cubes within Excel. You will participate in the development of scalable BI solutions to deliver actionable insights through Power BI and Excel-based reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Design, development, and deployment of Power BI dashboards and reports - Expertise in SQL based data models and queries - Create advanced Excel reports and visualizations using pivot tables, Power Pivot, and cube functions - Build and maintain OLAP cube connections for Excel-based analysis - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting systems - Stay current with BI trends and recommend tools and techniques to enhance reporting capabilities Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field - 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or analytics - Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, visualization) - Proficiency in SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning - Proficiency in Excel skills including pivot tables, Power Pivot, cube formulas, and OLAP integration - Familiarity with SharePoint to be able to support existing SharePoint reports and convert them to Power BI - Experience working with large datasets and complex data environments - Excellent communication skills - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/SVN You may also be familiar with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake), and have knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
