Application Architect- React Native

The Application Architect role supports functions which require automation/systems development, including initial development and ongoing support of the suite of applications that would help manage pricing, trading, hedging, pooling and shipping or other functions depending on the department.

As a React Native Develoment, you will:

Design and implement user interface components for JavaScript-based web and mobile applications using React and Microsoft ecosystem

Work as a part of a small team that includes other react native and C# developers, designers, QA experts, and managers

Perform code review of onshore and offshore developers

Ensure the correct Architecture is applied

Build app and UI components from prototypes and wireframes

Work with native modules as and when required

Use Native APIs for tight integrations with both platforms – Android and iOS

Write automated Unit tests to ensure error-free code and performance

Improve front-end performance by eliminating performance bottlenecks

Create front-end modules with maximum code reusability and efficiency

Implement clean, smooth animations to provide an excellent user interface

Work with third-party dependencies and APIs

Work with Redux architecture to improve the performance of the websites/mobile apps

Coordinate with the cross-functional teams including DevOps to build and Deploy apps within stipulated time/budget

Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Responsibilities

The Architect, Application Developer will be responsible for the technical design, initial development and major revision of multi-tier business systems, utilizing AWS, Python, and Snowflake. As the Architect, Application Developer, you will partner with Business Analysts to review optimization of requirements and work with Developers to review and validate key functionalities and integrations.

The Architect, Application Developer will:

Collaborate with Information Technology Team on the development/architecture of applications in AWS and make proposals to enhance existing systems and applications

Implement low-cost migration techniques and develop programs that are reusable, effective, and scalable

Perform software analysis, testing, debugging, and updating to ensure that programs are compatible with all web browsers

Create a serverless applications using multiple AWS services such as API, RDS Instance, Kinesis, and Lambda

Examine and evaluate programs to identify technical faults and make remedy proposals and/or recommendations

Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Technical Skills:

Significant experience working with React web and mobile along with tools like Flux, Flow, Redux, .NET C# etc.

In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and front-end languages

Strong knowledge of React fundamentals such as Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and component state

A complete understanding of the full mobile app development lifecycle right from prototyping

Knowledge of type checking, unit testing, typescript, prop types, and code debugging

Experience working with REST APIs, document request models, offline storage, and third-party libraries

Strong understanding of web technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

Knowledge of user interface design and responsive designs

Well-versed in a variety of React Native software and technologies such as Jest, Enzyme, ESLint, and so on

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's and/or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent discipline

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience planning, designing, developing, architecting and deploying cloud applications on AWS platforms

  • Knowledge of fundamental AWS services, applications and best practices for AWS architecture; AWS credentials a plus

  • Understanding of Web Services such as API, REST and RPC

  • Practical expertise in a variety of disciplines, such as Database Architecture, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics and/or Big Data

  • Experience in Linux/Unix Administration, Docker, and Kubernetes
