Role: Calibration Technician

Location: Rockville, MD

Contract Duration: 3 Years

Position Overview

We are seeking a Calibration Technician to support calibration and validation activities within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level professional with 2–3 years of experience in calibration or validation who is looking to expand their expertise while working with a wide range of manufacturing and laboratory equipment.

The successful candidate will perform routine calibration, maintenance, and documentation activities to ensure equipment accuracy, reliability, and compliance with GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform calibration and preventive maintenance on manufacturing, laboratory, and utility equipment.

Support calibration activities for both new and existing equipment across the facility.

Execute equipment calibration according to approved procedures and schedules.

Assist with validation and qualification activities as needed.

Troubleshoot calibration issues and document deviations when required.

Maintain accurate calibration records and GMP-compliant documentation.

Support temperature mapping and equipment monitoring activities.

Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Validation, and Quality teams to ensure equipment compliance.

Follow all GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

2–3 years of calibration and/or validation experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences environment.

Hands-on experience with calibration of laboratory and manufacturing equipment.

Familiarity with one or more of the following:

Kaye Validators

Autoclaves

Freezers

Data Loggers

Temperature Mapping

Deviation Documentation

Basic understanding of equipment qualification and validation principles.

Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.

Good troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
