Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our onsite team in North Haven, CT. This role focuses on analyzing, designing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and operational efficiency in a plant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and design operations to optimize plant productivity and efficiency.

Propose and implement layout changes for better utilization of space and resources.

Evaluate facility capacity and develop improvement plans.

Monitor and analyze operational performance for continuous improvement.

Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams for process enhancements.

Support safety and accident prevention measures; assist with training programs.

Conduct cost control, inventory management, and production record analysis.

Perform time measurement studies and implement standardized work systems (e.g., Std Wrk Layout, Operator Balance Chart).

Recommend facility modifications and revisions to production methods.

Collaborate with facility engineers in planning and design projects.

Apply DMAIC methodology for problem-solving in partnership with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial engineering experience (non-medical industry accepted).

Strong background in process design, time studies, facility layout, and Lean tools.

Experience with productivity metrics, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional teamwork.

Familiarity with standardized work documentation and DMAIC methodology is a plus.
