Position: IT/OT Lab Support Engineer

Location: East Hanover, NJ (100% Onsite)

Duration: 3+ Month Contract

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT/OT Lab Support Engineer to provide technical support for Analytical Development and QC laboratory environments within a pharmaceutical organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting GxP laboratory workstations, IT/OT infrastructure, laboratory equipment, and virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day IT/OT support for QC and Analytical Development laboratory workstations.

Troubleshoot laboratory systems, network connectivity, and workstation issues.

Support user account administration, system access, and backup configurations.

Assist with firewall configuration and network security activities.

Maintain and support virtual infrastructure, storage platforms, and network systems.

Partner with laboratory, IT, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable system performance.

Ensure compliance with GxP, data integrity, and internal IT policies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

8–10+ years of experience supporting IT/OT systems in pharmaceutical or GMP laboratory environments.

Strong experience supporting laboratory equipment, workstations, and infrastructure .

Hands-on experience with:

VMware ESXi / Virtual Infrastructure

Aruba Network Infrastructure

HPE GLA, MSA, and Synology Storage

Experience with user administration, networking, backup solutions, and firewall support.

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
