About the role
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Berea, KY (100% On-site)
Experience: 5+ Years Duration: 12+ Months Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder only
Job Overview: We are seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers to support the design and implementation of assembly lines for heavy equipment production. This role involves calculating demand at capacity, designing workstations, optimizing workflows, and ensuring ergonomic, efficient, and safe production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile equipment manufacturing, assembly line design, and Lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Design assembly lines, calculate the number of workstations needed, and review OMS/work content to optimize station layout.
Create and manipulate AutoCAD details to support line construction.
Ensure proper work cell spacing and ergonomic compliance.
Assess new utilities, tooling, and equipment requirements to support production.
Participate in Capex creation and project planning for line design implementation.
Apply Lean principles, JIT, CSM, and DFT techniques in assembly line design.
Utilize Excel for calculations, modeling, and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth line implementation.
Apply Core Tree knowledge to determine Build IDs.
Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) – must be verifiable.

Minimum 5 years of experience in assembly line design for mobile equipment (automotive, heavy equipment). Aerospace experience will not be considered.

Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

Experience with PLCs, automation, machining, welding, assembly techniques, time studies, and torque tooling.

Proficient in AutoCAD and advanced Excel functions.

Budgetary and Capex experience for production line implementation.
