Position: OSI PI Administrator Location: Maryland

Experience: 3 to 15 years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree from a US university preferred; alternatively, a Master’s degree from a US university

Role Overview

The OSI PI Administrator supports manufacturing operations by managing, maintaining, and improving OSI PI and Kepware systems used across the site. The role is responsible for responding to real-time system issues, maintaining data accuracy, ensuring proper tag configuration, and escalating technical challenges to the appropriate teams. This position requires a solid understanding of GMP principles, 21 CFR Part 211 expectations, and the ability to work within a controlled, highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities • Handle on-demand troubleshooting requests from Manufacturing Sciences related to OSI PI and Kepware environments • Investigate and resolve issues involving PI tags, data flows, point configurations, and system connectivity • Escalate unresolved or high-impact system problems to Environmental Science and Technology, Automation, or Manufacturing leadership • Support the setup, modification, and maintenance of OSI PI tags, trends, and visualization tools • Maintain system health, performance, and reliability across segregated network infrastructures • Work with virtualized environments involving vCenter and vSphere to manage Windows-based virtual machines • Ensure compliance with GMP standards and 21 CFR Part 211 guidelines during all system changes and activities • Collaborate with technical and manufacturing teams to support sitewide data availability and operational readiness

Required Skills and Expertise • Strong proficiency with OSI PI tools for tag creation, modification, troubleshooting, and trend visualization • Experience in OSI PI point configuration investigation and analysis • Hands-on exposure to Kepware clients and data connections • Understanding of segregated network architectures and secure industrial networks • Working knowledge of vCenter and vSphere for managing virtualized systems • Experience with Windows Virtual Machine administration tools • Background working in GMP environments and familiarity with 21 CFR Part 211 • Ability to troubleshoot complex system interactions and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams
