Process Control Engineer

Position: Process Control Engineer Location: Wynnewood, OK (On-site)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Process Controls Engineer to support operations at our Wynnewood, OK facility. This role focuses on process control systems in a refinery/petrochemical environment. The engineer will work with existing control infrastructure, primarily Honeywell DCS, with some exposure to Emerson DeltaV and Allen Bradley PLC systems.

Key Responsibilities

Provide process control engineering support for refinery operations.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize DCS/PLC systems (primarily Honeywell).

Work with pre-existing Allen Bradley code (no new-from-scratch development).

Support process optimization initiatives, including APC applications.

Apply knowledge of ISA/API standards and ensure regulatory compliance.

Utilize advanced process modeling and simulation tools for improvements.

Collaborate across teams to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Explore opportunities to apply data analytics and machine learning to process control challenges.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of process control engineering experience in a refinery or petrochemical environment.

Proficiency with Honeywell DCS (must-have).

Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLCs .

Familiarity with other process control systems (Emerson DeltaV, Yokogawa, Siemens) a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Solid understanding of industry standards (ISA, API) and regulatory requirements.

Experience with advanced process modeling and simulation tools.

Knowledge of data analytics or machine learning applications in process control preferred.
