Role: Project Engineer

Location: College Station, TX

Contract Duration: 12+ Months (Extension Possible)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support capital improvement and sustaining engineering projects within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for coordinating equipment upgrades, utility modifications, field execution activities, and change control processes while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Support the planning and execution of mechanical and electrical engineering projects within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Coordinate equipment installations, modifications, utility upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives.

Manage project activities from planning through execution, commissioning, and project closeout.

Author, coordinate, and manage GMP change controls and related documentation.

Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Validation, Quality, and external contractors to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Coordinate field execution activities, monitor project progress, and resolve technical issues.

Ensure projects comply with GMP, safety, and quality standards.

Support project scheduling, documentation, risk management, and contractor oversight.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred).

Experience supporting capital or sustaining engineering projects within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environments.

Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical equipment modifications.

Working knowledge of pharmaceutical utility systems, including:

HVAC

Clean Utilities

Process Utilities

Compressed Air Systems

Water for Injection (WFI)

Clean Steam Systems

Experience managing GMP change controls.

Experience coordinating field execution activities and contractor management.

Strong communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
