Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Snowflake Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, data warehousing, and cloud database technologies. You will be responsible for developing efficient, scalable, and secure data solutions, optimizing performance, and supporting the implementation of Snowflake-based systems across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert technical support for Snowflake database development across multiple projects.

Design and implement Snowpark features using Python based on project requirements.

Develop and manage efficient, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark and Snowflake.

Contribute to open-source Snowflake libraries including Snowpark Python and Snowflake Python Connector.

Implement and manage role-based access controls, Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams, and Virtual Warehouses.

Tune the performance of Snowflake queries, procedures, and workflows for optimized execution.

Perform POCs and implement new Snowflake features based on business needs.

Create and maintain up-to-date technical documentation while ensuring alignment with data governance policies.

Enable and manage query logs, audit history, and implement email alerting systems.

Enforce data governance policies such as row- and column-level security using secure views and dynamic data masking.

Required Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in Snowflake , including data migration, performance optimization, and security controls.

4–6 years of experience in Data Warehousing and Cloud Databases .

2–3 years of hands-on experience in Snowflake development , including Snowpipe and Snowpark.

Expert in Snow SQL, PL/SQL , and procedural development using SQL, Java, or Java .

Experience with PySpark and distributed computing frameworks like Spark or DASK .

Proven experience in real-time monitoring and tuning of Snowflake workloads.

Understanding of Data Integration technologies and cloud services, particularly AWS .

Familiarity with Snowflake security features and best practices (RBAC, masking, secure views).

Knowledge of Big Data tools and platforms is a plus.

Snowflake Certification is highly desirable.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Snowpipe , Streams , Tasks , and Data Migration using Snowflake.

Understanding of security protocols and integrations such as SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OpenID, Kerberos .

Knowledge of Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) for Snowflake environments.

Experience with data pipeline development using Snowpark with Python .

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work in cross-functional teams.
