Senior Quality Assurance Analyst - Assistant Manager

As a Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst at our company, you will be a key player in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your focus will be on designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to maintain the high standards of our software. You will work on testing Azure-based applications, Snowflake data warehouse, and ETL backend systems. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to understand project requirements and user stories, translating them into comprehensive test plans and test cases. - Conduct manual and automated testing using Java, Cucumber, and Selenium for Azure-based applications, Snowflake data warehouse, and ETL backend systems. - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for efficient regression testing and maximum test coverage. - Execute performance testing to assess system scalability, reliability, and efficiency. - Work closely with developers and product owners to identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects for timely resolution. - Perform backend testing by creating and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity and ensure ETL processes are functioning as expected. - Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. - Continuously improve the QA process by identifying areas for automation, enhancing test coverage, and implementing best practices. - Mentor junior team members to contribute to their professional growth and development. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance. Core / Must Have Skills: - Hands-on experience in implementing Automation framework, preferably BDD Cucumber, and different Automation framework architectures. - Knowledge of various QA processes and the ability to determine the most suitable QA methodology for the project. - Good experience with SQL queries for writing medium to complex queries based on requirements. - Strong knowledge of core Java, OOPS concepts, Selenium, and Test Automation Framework development. - Excellent understanding of testing methodologies, QA terminologies, processes, and the ability to work independently while supporting other team members. - Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. - Organizational skills, team-oriented attitude, and attention to detail. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good to Have Skills: - Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, and hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse. - Experience with other Automation Test tools like UFT/Tosca. - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines would be a plus. - Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester are desirable.
