JOB TITLE Engineer - Electrical GRADE E-1 JOB LOCATION Vadodara/Nigeria REPORTING TO Lead - Electrical BUSINESS UNIT Mining Metal SUB_BUSINESS_UNIT Metal DEPARTMENT Alumina Refinery SUB_DEPARTMENT Technical-Electrical KEY RESPONSBILITIES Prepare Construction Plan with help from Contractor, Consultant, and review of time schedule plan. Responsible for maintaining and archive soft copy and/or hard copy of Monthly Bills, Measurements Records, Documents, Drawings, Record/Instructions/ Records Books, and instruction/information given by management/ or consultant related to project work. Preparation of rate analysis, BOQ as per the drawing working of various items to be executed, finalized the vendor cost of the contracts to execute the work at site including preparation of tender documents. Strong knowledge on Concept to commissioning (Feed, Basic Engineering, detailed engineering, Erection commissioning) Responsible for review and assisting head electrical for approval of Electrical System Design Basis, Technical Specifications, Sizing Calculations, Layouts, RFQ, Contract / Tender documents, BOQ, and all other deliverables Responsible to check data sheets, electrical system sizing, and procurement of the required electrical equipment/items like Cables, Cable Trays, Lighting Fixture, Transformer, DGS, HT/ LT Panels, MCC/PCC Panel, VFDs, APFC System, Busbars, HT/LT Cables, etc. Schedule and participate in daily, weekly, monthly meeting with project team EPC/LSTK consultant/ vendor for the project progress work. Responsible for manpower, material,machineries etc. are available on time, resolve issues with contractors / Consultant and raise red flag before it gets delayed. Assiting to Lead Electrical for Electrical Inspections clearances during various stages of the project Ensure and maintain safe working practices and procedures in the plant. Any other duties commensurate with the role from time to time Responsible for ensuring Workfront clearance and WORK availability to Contractor, expedite with Consultant and Project Team for timely availability of drawings. FUNCTIONAL SKILLS Sound knowledge and work experience in various phases of projects like Conceptual Design, FEED, Detail Engineering, Construction, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning Project Close out. Well conversant with HT/LT Electrical System design, and understanding, preparing, and interpreting drawings and documents like Design Basis, SLDs, Load List, Motor List, Technical Specifications Data Sheets, Cable Schedule, PID, Cable Cable Tray Layouts, BOQ, Tender, Contract, etc. requirements. In depth knowledge and experience in Equipment Sizing calculations of Transformer, Cable sizing, Lighting system, Earthing system, Motors, DG, MV/LV VFDs, VCBS, MCC/PCC Panels, APFC, Voltage Drop calculation, LUX Level calculations, Cable tray sizing, etc. Sound knowledge in design and understanding of various type of electrical items and its selection based on Hazardous Area Classifications, HAZOP, HAZID studies. Strong knowledge and working experience in quality checks of Electrical System, Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning checks, Testing, and Commissioning. Good knowledge in various standards/codes related to Electrical HT/LT System design like IEC,IEEE,IS ,NFPA Standard etc. sound Knowledge of ETAP or equivalent software and can review reports for load flow,short circuit,,motor starting,relay co-ordination and arc flash analysis.
