About the role
As a BI & Semantic Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading the BI and reporting assessment track. Your responsibilities will include: - Analyzing Power BI semantic models and evaluating semantic layer maturity. - Assessing report migration completeness and identifying dependencies on legacy database objects. - Validating Tableau and SSRS migration outputs and ensuring accurate replication of business logic in Power BI using DAX. - Driving self-service BI readiness assessments, including dataset certification, hierarchy design, and business-user accessibility. - Reviewing Power BI workspace governance, refresh schedules, and deployment pipelines (Dev/Test/Prod). - Ensuring KPI consistency across semantic models and coordinating with cross-functional teams for metric alignment. To excel in this role, you should have the following required skills: - Expert knowledge of Power BI, Semantic Modeling, DAX, and Workspace Administration. - Hands-on experience with Tableau Server and workbook structures. - Working knowledge of SSRS, RDL reports, and parameter handling. - Strong understanding of legacy-to-Power BI migration methodologies. Preferred experience for this position includes: - 8+ years of BI development experience. - Strong expertise in Power BI semantic modeling and DAX. - Experience in Tableau-to-Power BI or SSRS-to-Power BI migration projects.
