QE Automation Architect (Bengaluru)

Overview Role Summary QE Automation Architect are responsible for Design, Develop and Manage automation frameworks and tools, Defining Automation strategy, approach, and execution. Works tightly with their SQA, Engg leaders and Product Managers in understanding requirements and project timelines. Working with Quality Assurance Engineers to ensure best practices, adherence to software standards and sound technical decisions are made and implemented towards ensuring that software meets functional and nonfunctional requirements including any design/ enhancements to automation framework. Duties & Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities - You will be responsible for Defining Frameworks, tools, strategy, approach, and execution - Manage Automation teams and deliver high quality outcomes - The role requires strategic thinking and planning and provide leadership and technical expertise within Test Automation and Quality Assurance throughout the entire product development life cycle with a strong sense of quality ownership making sure that quality is baked in from the start. - Your primary focus will be to achieve quality through Automation - You will have ownership of QA environments across Multiple products and will work closely with the DevOps team to define the optimal solution for each platform. - You will oversee the delivery and maintenance of automated scenarios and frameworks based on industry best practice and will be responsible for leading and directing the QA leadership team. - Provide technical leadership and expertise within the field of Automation Testing, to continuously enhance the framework. - Ensuring that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation. - Implement and develop Test automation framework which fulfils the diverse needs of complex products and is the sole certification criteria for Product releases. - Guide the teams to Develop concise and easy to maintain test scripts that can be reused across a sub-system or feature. - Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions - Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures - Communicate in a professional manner when interacting with coworkers and external customers - Develop and enhance the test infrastructure and continuous integration framework used across teams. - Integrate automation testing with continuous-integration process. - Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions. - Use test automation techniques (data driven, pairwise, mocking, test hooks) that fit the problem space. Understand designing and coding for testability to produce quality code with the lowest cost. - Communicate in a qualified manner when interacting with coworkers and external customers Skills Required Qualifications and Skills Required: - Have HEART. To work here, you must be: - Humble self-aware and respectful - Effective measurably move the needle& immeasurably add value - Adaptable innately curious and constantly changing - Remarkable stand out in some way - Transparent openly and honestly sharing knowledge - Overall 10+ years of experience in defining QA Automation strategy, approach and execution in development projects post BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech or MCA - The individual must have a proven track record of Designing and developing QA UI and API automation frameworks. - Ability to develop, review and manage test automation frameworks using Selenium with C# or Java or Python - Ability to develop, review and manage test automation frameworks using WDIO and BDD methodology - Typescript, nodejs, protractor, appium, android and iOS test automation expertise with framework development - Exposure to new open source and commercial technologies, tools and frameworks like Playwright, Google light house, Browser stack, Lamdatest. - Experience with CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, Azure - Experience using AWS and AZURE services to optimize automation solutions - Must have experience in using SoapUI, Postman or any API Automation tools - Excellent in object-oriented programming, should demonstrate use of various design patterns and experience on designing modules and features in previous roles. - Problem solving and analytical skills, should have programming acumen to choose the best available solution. - Background with working on large scale automation framework is plus. - Good written and verbal communication. - Should be able to work as individual contributor with little guidance - Passionate about technology and application development - Experience in ADO is preferred. - Excellent time management, resource organization and priority establishment skills, and Overv
