Job Description Network Security Lead (Check Point & Palo Alto) Job Title: Network Security Lead Check Point & Palo Alto Experience: 12+ Years Location: Mumbai (or as per business requirement) Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Network Security Lead with strong expertise in Check Point and Palo Alto Networks security solutions. The ideal candidate will lead the design, implementation, administration, and support of enterprise network security infrastructure while mentoring engineers and ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance of security environments. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, migration, and management of Check Point and Palo Alto firewall solutions. Configure and manage Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Security Policies, NAT, VPN (IPSec & SSL), High Availability (HA), Threat Prevention, IPS, URL Filtering, Application Control, Anti-Bot, and Anti-Malware. Manage Palo Alto Panorama and Check Point SmartConsole/SmartCenter. Perform firewall policy reviews, optimization, and security hardening. Troubleshoot complex network security incidents and provide L3/L4 technical support. Plan and execute firewall upgrades, migrations, and patch management activities. Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability remediation, and compliance audits. Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management. Collaborate with network, cloud, SOC, and application teams to implement security best practices. Prepare HLD, LLD, SOPs, implementation plans, and operational documentation. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership. Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for escalations and critical issues. Participate in change management and ensure adherence to ITIL processes. Required Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with: Check Point Quantum Security Gateway SmartConsole / SmartCenter (R80/R81) Palo Alto NGFW Panorama GlobalProtect VPN App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID WildFire Threat Prevention Expertise in Firewall policy management IPSec & SSL VPN NAT High Availability (HA) Routing (BGP, OSPF, Static Routing) VLANs TCP/IP DNS, DHCP Experience with firewall migration and security policy optimization. Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, NAC, Proxy, DLP, and Web Security solutions is preferred. Exposure to cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SD-WAN is an added advantage. Required Experience 12+ years of experience in Network Security. Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Check Point and Palo Alto firewalls. Experience in enterprise or managed services environments. Experience leading implementation, migration, and support teams. .
